The PS5 (or PlayStation 5) is the cutting edge PlayStation console for the year 2020, with a release date confirmed for late 2020. During Sony’s The Future of Gaming event held on June 11, we at last got our first look at the PS5’s design and the PS5 games line-up. Let’s see what to expect from next-gen PS5.

PlayStation 5 – Design

Hopping into the PS5’s system architecture, PS5 spots an AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz, 16GB of GDDR6 memory and a custom RDNA 2 AMD GPU that puts out 10.28 TFLOPs of processing power.

With regards to other PS5 highlights, Sony is also using a super-fast, proprietary SSD solution and a 4K Blu-ray player to increase the load times for games. The SSD will give 825GB of storage capacity and 5.5GB/s of performance. It might even have voice assistance abilities to disclose to you to what extent it will take to beat levels of the game.
